Sharon Kalazi is the Head of Commodity Trading at (Renewable Energy Powering Agriculture and Rural Livelihood Enhancement) REPARLE, a private limited company invest performing impact investments in agriculture and renewable energy to improve rural livelihoods. At REPARLE, she has spearheaded the company’s successful efforts to support access to markets for smallholder farmers across Uganda.
A lawyer by training, she previously worked at Busingye & Co. as an associate where she focused on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and also carried out legal due diligence on entities as pre-requisite to private equity or debt financing. Prior to that, she worked at Berit Access Corporation where she was a legal officer and project coordinator where she was involved in planning, executing and closing projects for the consulting firm.
The 8th AGTS will look to find solutions for the missing pieces of the grain trade puzzle and attempt to come up with an action plan to deliver more and better grain trade on the continent.
