Chronology and achievements of Previous Summits

The first 7 editions of the African Grain Trade Summit, held every 2 years between 2005 and 2015, have yielded several achievements for the grain sector in Africa and the broader agricultural sector. Notable achievements include the creation of EAGC as an organisation for the grain sector in 2006, policy reforms towards harmonisation of food standards, and implementation of the Warehouse Receipts System, to name a few. Below is a chronology and summary of achievements of the AGTS for grain trade in Africa:

AGTS 2019

The 8th AGTS will  look to find solutions for the missing pieces of the grain trade puzzle and attempt to come up with an action plan to deliver more and better grain trade on the continent.
